Welcome to Gef Antigua

The Global Environment Facility (GEF) is the largest funder of projects aimed at improving the global environment and promoting sustainable livelihoods in local communities. The GEF provides grants to developing countries for projects on biodiversity, climate change, international waters, land degradation, the ozone layer, and persistent organic pollutants.

The GEF is also the financial mechanism for four international environmental conventions: Convention on Biological Diversity, the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification, and the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants.

This website is aimed at providing information on all GEF Projects in Antigua and Barbuda.
